Fonte Baxa Garden Guided Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Fonte Baxa Garden to begin a guided tour through this forest of Luarca. We'll see camellias, rhododendrons, holly, yews, birches, cedars, chestnut trees, and many other plant species!

Are you ready to explore one of the largest private botanical gardens in Europe? We'll tell you about its history and interesting facts about the life of its owner and founder, the Marquis of San Nicolás de Noras, José Rivera y Larraya.

During the guided tour of the Fonte Baxa Garden, we'll visit the most iconic points of this garden that houses plants from all over the world. A unique journey that'll take you from Spain to places like Japan or Lebanon!

We'll also come across several works of art that decorate the garden, from a fountain that belonged to the House of Alba, to Roman columns, to the portico of a convent. It'll be fascinating!

Finally, after a 2-2.5 hour tour, we'll say goodbye back at the starting point.

Tour with a Picnic

Want to make your tour even more complete? You can book the tour option with a picnic, which will include a portion of homemade meat or tuna pie, a sausage roll, a piece of fruit, a sweet, and water or soft drink. This picnic will be given to you at the end of the visit so that you can enjoy it inside the Fonte Baxa Garden.

If you wish, you'll also have the option of a vegan picnic, which includes: a bottle of water, "La Galga" hummus of green vegetables and chickpeas with paprika from La Vera and organic sesame tahini, seasonal vegetable crudités, bread and "La Galga" chocolates with nuts and coconut topping.
