At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Monument to Fallen Fighters and Victims of Fascist Terror in Rovinj to begin this private tour, crafted to showcase the rich history and vibrant culture of Rovinj. Prepare to soak in the town's picturesque beauty and lively atmosphere!
We'll start our tour at this significant historical monument that honours those who fought and perished during the fascist occupation. Next, we'll explore Gradska Tržnica, Rovinj's bustling city market, where we'll see a variety of fresh produce and artisanal goods.
We'll then visit Trg Na Mostu, a charming square where we'll admire traditional Istrian architecture. A short walk away we'll find the Balbi Arch, one of the main gateways to Rovinj's old town, steeped in history and symbolising the town's unique blend of Venetian and Istrian heritage.
As we enter the historical centre, we'll pass through Veli Trg, another lively square known for its historic buildings and vibrant atmosphere. Next, we'll see the Church of St. Euphemia, Rovinj's most iconic religious and cultural landmark. Perched atop a hill, this baroque church offers breathtaking views over the town and the Adriatic.
Afterwards, we'll continue down Ulica Montalbano, a street filled with traditional houses and quaint shops. This street is one of Rovinj's most photographed spots—we'll find out why!
Next, we'll follow the Obala Pina Budicina seaside promenade, enjoying the scenic views of Rovinj's port, a key maritime hub for Adriatic cruises.
To conclude our tour, we'll head to Trg Maršala Tita, Rovinj's central square, always buzzing with locals and visitors alike, surrounded by historic buildings and lively cafés. Here, we'll visit the AurA, a local shop famous for its traditional Istrian products, an ideal place to pick up unique souvenirs.
Finally, after 1.5 hours of exploring Rovinj's highlights, we'll finish the tour back at Trg Maršala Tita.
