At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Horta to start our tour of Faial Island. Are you ready to discover all that this paradise on the Azores has in store for you?
First destination of the day: the viewpoint of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. From this advantage point, we'll be able to fully admire some of this island's landmarks, such as Praia do Almoxarife, Horta, Marina, Monte Queimado and Monte da Guia.
We'll then continue the tour all the way to Caldeira. Do you know that it is the most famous natural site on Faial Island? With a 2 kilometer diameter and a depth of 400 meters, this crater is completely covered by very special vegetation: a laurel forest.
Our next stop will be the Ribeira das Cabras viewpoint, from which we'll admire the Fajã da Praia do Norte and the Capelo Peninsula.
Then, we'll go for a change of scenery, literally, and visit Capelinhos Volcano. This unique location, along with its houses, and fields were covered by volcanic ash from the eruptions that took place in 1957 and 1958.
We'll finish this tour with the best coast views from the viewpoint of Monte da Guia and return to your hotel in Horta at 2.30 pm.
If you want an even more complete experience, we recommend the full-day tour of Faial Island.
You can book up to 2 days in advance if there are any seats left. Book now and guarantee your spot.
