On this day trip to Campanopolis from Buenos Aires, we'll take you to visit a medieval-style village built in the middle of the 20th century.
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from Cerrito Street in Buenos Aires, before beginning our trip south toward this town with a fascinating history.
After 30 minutes of driving, we'll arrive at our destination, the medieval village of Campanopolis, nestled in the forests of Ezeiza. In the 1980s, businessman Antonio Campana was diagnosed with terminal illness. From that moment, he abandoned his business ventures and undertook the task of constructing a medieval-inspired village with recycled materials.
During our guided tour of Campanopolis, which will last about 1.5 hours, we'll admire its architecture, narrow streets and alleyways and hidden secrets! In the construction of this town, Campana made use of materials from the old iron columns of the Galerías Pacífico - the old gates of the Palermo Hippodrome and the lights and clocks of the Plaza de Mayo, among thousands of other valuable antiques.
Campana did not use blueprints, nor did he have the help of any architect. We'll discover the extent of his creativity by visiting the museums dedicated to wood, iron and ornaments known as caireles. Another highlight is a set of 12 cute little houses made from stone and bricks, which look straight out of a cartoon.
At the end of the visit to Campanópolis, we'll return to Buenos Aires. Arrival at the meeting point is scheduled 6 hours after pickup.
If you choose this option, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Buenos Aires. Please note that pickups are only available from hotels in Recoleta, San Telmo, Microcentro, and Puerto Madero. At the end of the activity, we'll drop you off at one of the following points:
