Join us for a complete tour of the mysteries and legends of Bordeaux! Uncover the fascinating stories of this city nestled by the Garonne River famous for its wine.
Let's get things rolling by meeting at the iconic Grosse Cloche to kick off our adventure into the mysteries and legends of Bordeaux. Ready to uncover the spine-chilling tales of the capital of New Aquitaine?
Our first stop will be Plaza Fernand Lafargue, known for its chilling history of torture. Legend has it that the ghosts of those victims still linger in its every corner once night falls upon Bordeaux. Spooky!
Next up, we'll make our way to Saint Andrew's Cathedral, tracing the path of the werewolf, who faced a life sentence by the authorities in 1603. But he's not the only curious character to have roamed this city. Did you know that during the French Revolution, 74 mummies were discovered in this very place?
As we continue our journey, we'll uncover tales of forbidden loves and mysterious disappearances that have unfolded around Plaza Gambetta. Meandering through the winding alleys of Bordeaux, we'll transport ourselves back to the era of the Inquisition and the witch persecutions that once plagued this region.
Then, following a hauntingly good 2.5-hour tour, we'll bring the tour to an end in front of the San Severino Basilica.
